Rose and Claire
Oh what do you do
when your best friend is crushing
on the same guy
as you?
It’s one or the other out here in the wild.
Which one has more grace, talent, and style?
Love is just a game where no one’s the same
perhaps I’ll stop and wait for a while.
Who’ll make the first move?
Who’s the one they'll prove
worthy of the love of the lonesome knight
without putting up a horrible fight.
It's one or the other, who’ll be removed.
What’s this?
Did he find someone already?
Just who in the world could it possibly be?
It wasn’t Rose and it wasn’t me.
But the obvious we didn’t see,
that in the end we just had to agree:
That a relationship won’t work when there is three.

The poem describes jealousy among two good friends who try to best one another to see who can get the attention of their crush, who happens to be the same person they like. Throughout, we see how sometimes emotions get the best of an individual to the point where they're willing to throw away anything to achieve their goal, in this case: friendship. Sometime's it's best to stop and collect yourself; realize that losing your friends is so easy and not worth the risk.
