Daily Questions
Why is there never enough time?
I need to do homework and do chores,
but I want to watch Netflix and Youtube.
I try to isolate myself at a coffee shop to
motivate me to do my work, but it is futile.
My desire overcomes my sense of logic,
leaving me impotent and sinful.
Why am I so lazy?
At the end of the day, I can’t remember
a single productive action I did. With the
scarce time I had, I spent it on the screen.
This is really bad; my brain is deteriorating.
I put my phone down and the world becomes
blurry. I stare at the ceiling till morning arise.
Should I go to school?
I drag myself to the car and think of the reasons
why I should just ditch, then I see a billboard at a
red light. My eyes wander, expecting a McDonald’s ad.
The sign says, “Life has to be balanced: happy and sad. Sunshine
all the time creates a desert. You need rainy days.” I laugh, racing to
school before the pleasure fades.
