Why did he have to go?
Eventually, everything comes to an end.
Will I ever see him again?
Life works in mysterious ways; you never know.

How do I fix this gaping hole in my heart?
It’s only temporary and mends itself with time.
Why are my eyes brimming with tears every night?
This too shall pass, so close your eyes and escape reality.

Why does everything remind me of him?
Reminisce on the memories while you still can.
Can I ever find love like that again?
One day, you’ll meet another who will make you happy.

What do I do when the world feels heavy on my shoulders?
Don’t sacrifice yourself for everyone else; let it be.
Where do I turn to for guidance?
Look to the stars shining brightly for you.

Why couldn’t it have been me?
The heavens have big plans for you, my child.
Where is daddy now?
He’s watching over you from the moonlit sky.

I miss him.

Jenny Lee is an experienced daydreamer that tends to wonder the “What if” in life. When she was fourteen, her poem was published by the Creative Kids Magazine, and since then, she actively illustrates her ideas through the computer or through graphite pencils. When these ideas need a kickstart, Jenny listens to a variety of music, enjoys watching movies and TV shows, and spends hours at the golf course.
