To many,

a burger is nothing special;

just a patty between some buns,

maybe throw on some

lettuce or ketchup

I know it might sound.

silly.

But,

to me.

To me, it meant something

special.

While eating a burger is no

delicacy,

it truly matters who eats it

with you.

And that person to me,

is

Pappy.

It didn’t matter where we went,

whether it be a crappy Burger King

or

a fine Five Guys.

Actually, the places were never

special,

but he always turned that around

and made them

special.

And even though

I must now eat alone

I always remember that person

who made those times,

special.

And that person to me,

was

and will always be

Pappy.
