Insanity
Ice cold rain upon my skin
Droplets of fire spread within
Two sides at war
Tearing the seam
Up high above
On a balance beam
Fine line between
Love and war
They say all’s fair
But I’m not sure
Insanity and sense
Neither are clear
But human tendency is
To act out of fear
Rash decisions and harsh words
Judgement filled eyes and reason blurred
Worried voices
Saying you need help
And when some comes along
You shut it out
Lie until your soul turns black
Until your heart falls level
With all the grief and pain
Then sell it to the devil
Can’t save me now
I’m too far gone
Apologies for my problems
Maybe one day
I’ll find some way
To finally be able to solve them
