My Brain Right Now
There is a place in the world for everyone
I want to find my place
I think it across the sea,
In a faraway land
full of palm trees, monkeys, coconuts, waves, and sun
To get there is the adventure, traveling to find it.
Boat, bike, plane, train,
I'm going to find it.
It's not something I want to do
Its something I have to do
This far away land that lives in my dreams
How do I get there?
When will I get there?
Does everyone have a far away place
Where they can look up and see every star in the sky?
Look down and see them reflecting off the crystal clear ocean?
I can picture it now
This is my place
The seagulls squawking, and the dolphins calling
What if I get lost?
Will I find my way?
I'm scared to leave everyone behind,
To find this far away land
I will pretend to be a pirate,
Climb to the top of the mast,
Sailing high and low
Looking for Jack Sparrow
into the fog goes the Black Pearl
Up in my crows’ nest, legs wrapped around
Sun-kissed cheeks and windswept hair
On the lookout for my land
