and She danced


through the blue with arms stretched wide.

gliding and floating like the wings of planes and butterflies.


tufted is She, resting on a wise man's chin.

puffed pastries.

smooth silk.

silent and still as the drop of a pin.


bits of cotton sewn with string.

through to the heavens, hear angels ring.


melted cream dripped over a blue painted sky.

pressed petals.

dancing dreams.

the shapes and the stars, stretched up high


when She cries, it pours.

and all those below know Her sorrow and hear Her roar.

This is a poem about the clouds, inspired by the Romantic style of poetry.
