We Are The Weeds
We are the weeds.
Growing in the cracks and crevices
of other success.
We plead for the sun and water to hit us,
Just like they do the flowers and trees.
We are the weeds.
Many see us as burdens,
Ones to get rid of
Useless.
But within our own self,
There is a shard of confidence.
For you had grown amongst the
Concrete and stones
Of which the flowers wouldn’t dare touch
And trees would shudder
At the thought of.
