Punishment
Throughout my formative years
I was a bit of a troublemaker
I was moved to the back
Of almost every class
I never did homework
I never passed tests
And when I’d get home
My parents would be pissed
They’d make me sit down
At the dining room table
And rewrite a sentence
Over and over again
I was just like bart
Standing at the chalkboard
“50 lines, front and back”
My parents would say
I wasnt aloud to leave
Until i finished this task
50 lines front and back
Quite the punishment
But when I had finished
And gone back to school
The punishment didn't work
I still disrupted class
I was just a little menace
A rascal to my core
And no amount of writing did change that
I wanted to talk, and I would
So I returned to the back of the class
