Names
Names like the stars,
Spread out. Some the same but all very different.
Names are airy things,
Whoosh. Always traveling across rooms and through door cracks,
Leaking into ears.
Names make everybody a somebody and not a nobody,
Everyone is someone.
Names multiple for some,
But what is to say who becomes somebody and who becomes nobody?
Who knows.
Names turn heads .
Pause
Smile, that’s me.

I grew up with two names. My korean name and my english name. While my official name is my korean name, I go by and relate more to my english name as someone who grew up in the U.S. This poem was inspired by my two names:).
