I Could Have

I know I should have let you help with the project,
I could have used you to help with researching,
Since you don’t have anything after school,
I could have used you to help with finding the vocab,
Since you have a computer and study hall,
I could have used you to help with decorating the poster,
Since you just got neon colored pencils for Christmas,
I could have used you for a lot of minor things,
I would have if,
I hadn’t heard from Emily that you got a 70% on your last project.
