The Storm
The color of the sky is changing to black,
the cold wind starts to blow.
As the leaves swirl into the air,
The trees begin to quiver.
The whole town is silent,
not a soul in sight.
The townsfolk are hunkered away,
anticipating and waiting to bear the storm.
Only, the storm is not outside.
The real whirlwind is inside.
Inside a dark, gray mind.
The fuzzy feeling inside, is suddenly not so fuzzy.
The awful, empty feeling goes from bad to worse.
As the storm blows on outside,
So does the one on the inside.
In a couple of hours, one will end.
And the other will rage on forever.
