Spring
As the sun rises day by day,
the temperatures rise.
White melts away into the stream
as the creatures awake from their slumber
running and frolicking in the fresh earth;
stretching their legs and breathing in the new smells.
Slowly,
the brown and white of winter withers away.
Slowly,
the soil is raided by green.
Green grass covers the landscape.
Flowers spring from their buds.
Spring has arrived.
Along comes new life.
New born calves are licked clean
as their eyes take in the scene.
Foals race across the land
seeing who can run the fastest.
Piglets squeal with excitement,
as they are turned out into open pens.
Lambs bask in the sun and absorb the warmth
as they lay in the tall swaying grass.
Spring is here.

I chose to right about spring because it is my favorite season, and fills me with joy everytime the thought crosses my mind. After a long winter there is nothing better in my mind than finally seeing the green grass and flowers.
