Football
My time is up
Like the last grain of sand hitting the bottom of the hourglass
It’s over
Never to be part of a high school football team again
Never to take the field on Friday Nights
Never to be in front of the crowd
Never to be part of the same team with my friends
The team was my family
Four years of good and bad
Grinding and struggling
Working and being a leader
Football was the trigger for how I shared my personality
But my time has passed
I wouldn’t exchange what I have learned
I wouldn’t get rid of it
Football has molded me
Grabbing ahold and shaping my character
It made me who I am
Forcing me to be responsible and accountable
My career may have reached its end, but
I will always be a Canton Little Giant
