Picasso Painting
My face is an Earthy Picasso painting,
the overlapping shapes
East and West,
are joined by the circles
of harmony.
My Dutch eye is on my head,
my Indian nose extending down to my jaw,
the crisp lines cutting into my mouth.
Creased on the bottom
are American lips, slightly lopsided,
hanging from a hinge on the left side of my face.
The slopes of my neck are calm and soft,
reminding me of my Grandma.
Focus on one, and
you’re left with an incomplete picture,
But together,
The irregularity
is beautiful
and clear.
