Danger And Desire
Walk with me
Or are you afraid?
Some may say I look like danger it self
That I hold an essence of fear
Maybe it’s because I walk with terror on my shoulders
Or maybe it’s because my best friend is
Pain
Call me fire,
The only thing more powerful than me is water
You can wash out all my sins
But the fire escapes and runs to its next victim
Watch out
Beware
You could become the next threat
And fire only falls on the damned
The troubled and lonely
So listen when I say hide in a cave and conceal all your deepest and darkest secrets
Don’t let desire and lust catch up to you
Because once you are caught
Corruption will take you over
And scorpions shall feed on your mind.
Then that’s when fire catches up with you.

Many novels and plays always image desire as a type of weapon. For example the most famous piece of literature about desire, A Streetcar Named Desire.
Desire can be pictured like fire, it burns and it’s hot and fiery. Almost sinful, the only thing that can stop fire is water just like holy water cleansing you of your sins.
