Perfection
From such a young age,
Perfection is expected
Locked in a cage,
Always being corrected.
Put on a stage,
Imperfections detected.
Thousands of worries wage,
My thoughts infected.
Before you have an outrage,
I have something that must be injected.
Not as everything must be perfected.
Take, for example, the rhyme scheme of this poem.
It is no longer perfect,
and that is PERFECTLY okay.
