The Moon and Back

She always told me
Every night
As she tucked me in
I love you to the moon and back
Then she would kiss me
And as I closed my eyes
And as the lights went out
I'd dream of the moon
That shiny sphere up in space
I liked to think that if her love
Could go up to the moon
Maybe I could go up to the moon too
