Why don't you see me hurting?

Why do I have to go through this

I am bleeding

But no one can see past the smile on my face

No one see's my strugle to keep up the pace

I'm falling behind

And people don't mind

They expect me

To be the way they see 

I should be 

I'm holding on by a thread

And I dread

Going to bed

For what lies ahead

Will it still go on

Will it go until I fall

Does anybody notice

My feelings

Do they hear my heart beating

When I get a test

Because I know it has to be the best

Or i'm disappointing the rest

Don't be less they say

But here I lay 

Wondering what they will say 

If I let go?
