August
Scorching, blinding,
The sun beats overhead,
Squinting, sweating,
You wish you were dead,
Headed to the pool,
To avoid the heat,
Burning, Stinging,
Hits the bottom of your feet,
School about to start,
There's no time to waste,
Hop in the water,
Warm chlorine the only taste,
The August heat,
Being hard to escape,
The month will pass,
You just have to wait.
