Summer Needs
I hear the warm summer wind dance between the trees.
The thick wall of bushes creating a sea of leaves.
I look up at the mountains like spires in the sky.
I see a stream at my feet almost up to my knees.
I couldn’t reach the end even if I tried.
The beauty of it all, I almost cried.
With every breath i take of the warm summer air.
If i said the trees were not beautiful that would have been a lie.
The more i thought about leaving the more i wanted to stay right there.
The snow atop the mountains gave the rock glistening silver hair.
I went to go leave with the view in my mind,
I remembered the next day I would be right back there.
