That Time of Year
Classes are over
kids take to the streets
the sky gives off a kind glow
time for summer break
stay at home and relax do what I want to do
watch tv and workout
eat ice cream with cereal
not a care in the world
it’s that time of year that no-homework-having well-rested
do-what-I-want time of year
pull up the Netflix and catch up on shows
the weather? not important!
school? irrelevant!
the time of day? who cares!
it’s that time of year

This piece was about a time of year and instead of a month or season, I chose the end of the school year.
