Not Today
Girl you’re bad
And he can’t handle bad
And he doesn’t know bad from scary
But he doesn’t know how to handle bad
Is unpredictable
He can’t handle bad
Like a 5th grader when they push someone on the playground
He’s scared of bad
Because bad would be more than him
Like Ms. Badu said
I’m not your cheap thrill
Don’t try to water me down dull my finish
And put my flare out with tap water
You’re more than he could ever handle
And that’s no ones fault but his
Lions may be intimidating
But not to other lions
I might be staring at your chest at eye level
But when I raise my crown to look you in the face
You can’t even meet my eyes
Because staring at the sun directly can be harmful and overwhelming
For those unprepared to handle the heat
The energy
And the overwhelming fact that it’s greater than you
