My pain is in my silence -Unknown

Take me away
To the land of peace
Carry me through the flowing wind
Let the sun soak through my skin

Take me away
Into your land of peace
As we become one with the world
And we fly away

Take me away
To a land of life
Where I can be free
Where I can be happy
With no burdens to carry

But now I have disappeared
Into a land of depression
Where I am nothing
Where I belong

But now I have disappeared
Into a land of restlessness
Trauma, rage, and fear
Where I cannot rest

Leave me here
Here in the land of chaos

Where every corner is a new tragedy
Where nothing ever gets better

Leave me here
In the land of self-hate and numbness
Where I can’t feel
Where I don’t know how to breath

Leave me here
Where the thorns of life stab me
Where the vines suffocate me
As I fall into an abyss of nothingness

Look away
For I am nothing more than a distorted image
A glitch in the system
A mere speck of dust

Look away
As I evaporate into thin air
And turn into dying flowers
As you lay me on my grave

Turn away
So that you don’t see my face
Don’t look into my eyes
For they are soulless

Walk away
Just leave my body here
And run
Spare yourself the pain

Forget me
For I am nothing to be remembered
I am merely a burden that has been carried around for too long
A dead bud in a blooming tree

Forget me
As I rot in this grave you made for me
And lay waste to the ground
As I become one with the earth and sky

Now I am truly at peace
For there are no fears here
No pain or sorrow
Only calm and quiet

Now I am truly at home
In this land of warmth
Where the tide meets the sand oh so gently
Where the sky is clear and sunny

Now I am truly at rest

This piece is a representation of an event of my past. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with severe depression. It's a struggle I live with every day. I wrote this during one of the lowest points in my life. Its a representation of my feelings and the effect on the people around me.

Wow, I don't know what have you been through, but I can see you are not just talented but really brave too because I know is not easy to let others know about our problems and burdens. It's really admirable and I hope you can find the light in the future. The more difficult it is to find it, the brighter it'll be. You'll find peace and happiness because you are stronger than you might think.
