Night Sky
They think I must wanna die,
Because I just hate the outside and having to socialize.
I wish that it were just I and the lonely night sky -
And when it was time to glance up it would just be
Those same bright starry eyes shining down,
Caressing me with their soft glow of light;
Painting my skin in a navy tint.
Yes, I wish these things over seeing:
My dad taking another sip of this drink
Staining his lips with the stench of gloominess,
Over seeing my porcelain doll mother crack into a million pieces,
Over seeing my friend being gaslighted by the same cheating boyfriend.
But alas the world is not what we want -
And gentle sound of the winds will be replaced
With the piercing wails of humanity.
