Pain of a Heartbreak
Sometimes your blindsided by miles and miles
And other times, you predicted it all along
The blame game is played showing mistakes
Mistakes are constantly made within a relationship
And it’s all up to how you perceive it
Questions will always be asked,
And assumptions will be made,
But if the true feelings are there, it shouldn’t matter
And other times,
It does matter
Because grudges will be held
And lies will be told
You were held up on the constant bickering of he said she said
But for what reason?
What has love become? I would ask myself.
Being a 16 year old girl not only learning to love herself, but someone else?
It almost seems like it would be impossible.
But wait
There’s more
You must understand how it was accomplished,
To then be ignored.
Then thinking he’s the one,
Even though we were so young,
No harm was done,
Except for the emotion brought upon.
And yes, there’s two sides
And I know there was most likely pain within each
But the truth of the matter
Was what it did to me
Call me selfish,
Call me a fool,
For still loving you
Thinking it could have been different
If you would have just listened to MY truth
But months have passed
And I’m sure you’re doing just fine now
So I put on a smile and say “I’m fine,” too
What they say is that heartache goes away,
But mine,
Mine will forever stay.
