The World and We
If I were to forget how to live
Would there be somebody there
With something to give?
This little hole of darkness;
May it never grow more,
May it never make a mess.
Somebody be there with something in-store.
If I were to believe in something imaginary
Maybe something I could no longer see
You’d be there with something for me
To show me how everything
Soon turns back into reality.
You exist with such happiness,
Such bright light.
You shall never lose it,
Not even when the hole or pit
Shows in sight.
We all need someone’s help in life.
We all go through grief and strife.
This world stands as though it is a single
Holding itself up; striving to be the best
Hoping we make a difference and give the others a chance to rest.
You and me; the world and we.
No matter the circumstance
As we go through this song and dance
That we all call life,
May I never forget,
May we all give,
May you be there with something in-store,
May this world continue to grow forever more.
