                       Blessed

Blessed be the vultures who pick up what we will not.

Blessed be the nightmares that spread wisdom through fear.

And the bats that kill the pests we face.

Blessed be the moon with no real light and the earth that is slowly dying.

Blessed be the doors of wonder who only open the way for others.

Blessed be the gun that claims lives, but commits no murder

And the soldier who fights for hope. Blessed be the mirrors with no face.

Blessed be the desk that holds the future and the wall that carries words they don’t understand. Blessed

Be time who starts life and ends it. Blessed be the decomposers who nurture our land.

Blessing the things that we take for granted and that we don't usually bless.
