I am a dog
I am a dog
Taking orders, following commands
They tell me to do, and i do
They placed my life in their hands
They offer treats when i do what’s “right”
But if it’s not perfect a slap on the wrist
“You can do better.”
Never good enough, always goals that i’ve missed
A dog bred for perfection
Must never play or relax
So their lives can feel empty
Always pushed to their max
But all dogs need love
To be nurtured and appreciated
But not just when they’re perfect
When they're tired and frustrated
But this doesn’t always happen
And i am not a dog
