Yell At Me
Yell at me from across the room,
Yell at my face
Yell in my ears
Yell till you're blue in the face
Yell all you want
Yelling will get you nowhere.
Yell to the top of your voice,
Yell till you can yell no more.
Then that's when Ill do it.
Till you can't say anything else,
That's when I'll listen,
Then you'll realize,
There's no need to yell.
Tell me with that one calm voice i used to know.

I write to you about submitting my piece “Yell At Me”, a free style poem about someone trying to tell the other that no matter how much they yell at them, they will not listen until they settle down with a calm tone. That nothing will be achieved even if they yell.
I wrote this because I know many people who get into arguments yelling at each other for an hour and end up not accomplishing anything. But when people discuss things in a calmer manner, things happen to get done faster and there was no breath wasted and voices never become lost. It is also a healthy way to express thoughts and feelings because the communication is better understood.
