Tiny pieces of delicate iridescent paper dropped from the sky.

Millions and millions of them.

soaring through the air entering new city scapes, and tackling new homes and work.

All different and unique, yet the same.

A lightly colored fragment stuck to the cement, getting trampled and smushed.

Another went with the wind, and flew across the city, acquiring new opportunities and challenges.

And there were even pieces that were unfortunately caught in the wrong mix, putting them in rough neighborhoods.

Traveling far and wide, the confetti moved.

Large sheets of the almost translucent scraps began to enter new opportunities.

Some were lucky being in the right place at the right time,

Using their geographic location to their advantage,

And others that were pushed out of their comfort zone acquired success in ways they didn’t think were possible.

At the end of the night those unique slivers of paper are now all over the city

And in even some cases all over the world.

Each piece setting out to do what they want,

Using this new year as a platform to achieve their goals.

This piece is about starting fresh in the new year, and realizing you can become anything you want to be.
