The Shore
Sitting on the beach just past 1:00,
I feel the warm summer breeze blowing through the air.
The sound of waves crashing fills my ears.
Seagulls roam around searching for the remainder of someone’s lunch.
My feet rest gently in the soft sand.
The rays of the sun beat down on my skin.
I take a sip of refreshing cold water,
and lay back in my chair for another nap.
I wish to never leave the salty air of the shore,
but I know I will be back soon.
