Victim
Yells fill the air
Fist fly by
Some find their target in the form of a face
Insults hurled like cannons
His eyes fill with tears
He wants to stop this
But he needs her in his life
Violence is just something that comes along with this relationship
He’s disgusted with himself
He is sick of what he’s doing
Staying here with her
Only causing them both pain
Neither one of them want to look at their reflection
One because all they will see is a shell of who they used to be
The other because they will the monster they have become
Her eyes fill with tears
She wants to stop this
But she needs him in her life
Violence is just something that comes along with this relationship
She’s disgusted with herself
She is sick of what she’s doing
He walks out seeing their picture
Shattered just like their relationship
He walks out and leaves her behind
Hoping to never see her again
She runs after him
Seeing their picture
Shattered just like their relationship
She can’t take this
She needs him
Searching all their favorite places
She comes up empty
He’s gone
She only has herself to blame
All the yelling, punching and insults drove him away
He only has himself left
She took everything
Made him to the shell he was now
Maybe it was for the better
No more yelling, punching and insults
Maybe he can recover his heart
Find someone who will love him.
WIthout the violence.

Basically the story behind this is its supposed to make you think the man is the one abusing the woman, but in the end, it is revealed that it was the woman. I got the idea from a post I saw talking about how woman are the only victims of abusive relationships so I wanted to create something that shows that men can also be victims.
