today was that day
i want to tell myself don’t stay
the lightning’s gonna hit me
anyway
but instead, thoughts cloud my head
in a way
where the storm surges
through my body
causing disarray
gain nothing did i
leaving myself in dismay
rain pours from my eyes
words i want to say
pain forms and the wind
blows me far away
