If I had a reason to
My body is frozen solid,
and I can't move a muscle.
My eyelids are made of lead,
limbs hang off the bed lifeless.
But I could still wake up,
if I had a reason to.
My whole body aches,
I lie there hopeless.
Pain is drilling into my head,
my bed is as comfy as a pit of spikes.
But it wouldn't stop me from getting out of bed,
if I had a reason to.
I hate anything and everything,
even the smallest things bother me.
My mind works overtime,
thoughts pour out without a lid to stop them.
But I could ignore it and face the day,
if I had a reason to.
