Blankness
Winter is coming
and normally I’d be upset
for the gloomy dark nights
and bitter cold air
but I’m excited for the
crystallized masterpieces
and warm covers
and the months
of calm grey
before spring comes
blooming
like how I'll be
after these months
that are a misconception
of sadness
because everyone
needs a clean slate
some blankness

This poem portrays the importance of change in mine and others lives. New beginnings give us a chance to make better choices and I wanted to tell this in a simple way, through the seasons.
