when she was twelve
she smiled like the sun
when she was thirteen
she started to loose
the happy aura
her past self lived on
when she was fourteen
the girl vs mom fights
started to tear
her apart
when she was fifteen
she fell in love with a boy
bound
to break her heart
when she was sixteen
the scale became
her best friend
daring her
to be thin enough
to blow away
with the wind
now she's going on seventeen
learning to love the girl in
the mirror
and search for the sun
again.
