Christmas Memories
Warm cocoa and quiet nights
Sipping eggnog as we hang the lights
Pumpkin pie, turkey, and cranberry sauce
The whimsical toon of ‘Deck the Halls’
Friends and families sing and dance
Brothers and sisters joining hands
Baby Jesus in the manger
Joy is spread from stranger to stranger
Late night drives to see the light displays
Anticipation rising as we count down the days
Stars in the sky seem to twinkle brighter
Snow on the ground could not be whiter
Tree pine and peppermint permeate the air
Along with the laughter each family shares
Early morning calls from auntie, grandma, and dad
Everyone feels lucky to be so glad
We all attach memories to this one special day
We all hang on to it in our own way
The thing about Christmas that joins everyone
Is He who gave it all, God’s only son
