The Beautiful Planet In Which We Once Fell
A faint whisper starts spreading fast
“Today’s the day that will be our last”
The public shakes their heads in doubt
“What are they going on about?”
A message flashes across the screen:
“All these signs, what could they mean?”
The people then begin to fret
“But we’ve got no need to panic, yet”
Nobody was certain what was to occur
A meteor collision? A natural disaster?
Yet no prediction has made it clear
Feeding the slowly increasing fear
A crimson storm swells quickly in size
Onlookers observe, unease in their eyes
The dawn approaches in a blood red hue
And to an anxious world, it’s the final cue
The so-called “leaders” say their goodbyes
And take off their masks, revealing their lies
Their followers regard in foolish surprise
But soon, they too, rid themselves of disguise
The people awaken a darkness within
Discarding their veils and unleashing their sin
“We can still have hope” some continue to cry,
But their words fade out and eventually die
Under a beautiful starry sky
Humanity falls to its own demise
As blood seeps slowly into the ground
Silence envelops the world around
The end wasn’t caused by what we could foretell
We selfishly blamed anything but ourselves
The next morning’s sun
Engulfed an empty shell
The beautiful planet in which we once fell

There are so many crazy conspiracies today about the end of the world, so I thought, what would actually happen if everyone were to believe it was the end? Surely it would bring out the true nature of humainity.
