The Lonely Ocean

I stare into the ocean
noticing the wave’s emotions
sitting on the river of sand
reaching for the dreamland
but it’s never that close.
I wish I could escape
I want to do it someday
but I don’t have the power
not a single bit of power
to drive me towards my goal.
So, I guess I’m stuck here forever
not a single person to make my life better
and so I laid down.
After a few hours I woke up
“Ah, it was just a dream,
not like real life is any different”
