Teenage Heartbreak
I thought it was a good day,
I seemed pretty bright.
Everything was going my way,
Until came the night.
I went to go see him,
Though he didn’t want to be seen.
The sun was starting to dim,
I had to remember “a teen will be a teen.”
I asked him how he felt,
It’s like he didn’t want to say.
Suddenly I felt my heart start to melt,
Yet I decided to stay.
He told me he doesn’t feel the same as before,
Of course I felt like crying.
I asked if it was because I was a bore,
My heart felt like he was lying.
Then I left and went home,
To my bed where I laid.
My thoughts started to roam,
Then I told myself “I knew there was a price to be paid.”
