People You Miss
When someone close to me dies,
Time really flies.
Death is very sad,
But not always bad.
The people who were close aren’t suffering,
Though my brain continues shuffling.
I miss them so much,
I wish I could just feel their touch.
I never got to say goodbye,
At least they’re flying high.
I only hope to see them again someday,
Until then I’ll continue to pray.
Those people will always be in my heart,
And especially art.
I feel very blue,
Without them in my view.
I miss you all,
But I will continue to stay tall.
For all of you,
I’ll make it through.

I wrote this poem about a month and a half ago after one of my closest aunts passed away. I have many people in my life who have passed away, but she and I were very close. Overall, I wrote this poem for everyone, friends and family, who have all passed in my life.
