here’s to all my dream boyfriends

not the ones i️ wanted to have

but the ones i️ only had for a night

i️ had my first kiss a million times before it ever happened

i️ was held even when there wasn’t anyone there to hold me

 


here’s to the times i️ woke up and realized you weren’t real

not that i️ didn’t love you like you were

but i️ wished i️ could just go back to sleep again

i️ thank you for saving me from another nightmare 

i️ wish you could think about me this way too 

 


here’s to the hope that

one day

i️ can be loved with my eyes open
