lemonade;
what is the sweet, summer depression
turning myself sour like the lemons you soaked in sugar water
and then offered to me as a good enough substitution for lemonade
melting ice cubes, dissolving into nothingness
watering down a substance and leaving it unsatisfying
not tasting quite right
but having no standard for comparison
i️ choke the drink down anyways
but i️m still left dying of thirst
