Distant bells open my eyes
Bringing me back to where I am
My dream now lost in my mind
Im awake as ill ever be
I walk the crowded streets
each step mocking a sound
A reminder that im alone
Being alone is not so bad
Theres room to breath
To hear yourself think
Company can be a burden
The festivities catch my eyes
I look around and savour it all
I walk through my front door
Im finally home again
Silence has never been so golden
