That Girl
Look at that girl, she smiles everyday
No worries must burden her in anyway
She must have the perfect life
For her attitude is just so bright
Little do you know she has depression
Now you'll handle her in your own discretion
With a painted expression, she's a porcelain doll
Once and for all, you can't look at her the same, not even incidentally
You'll treat her oh so differently
Though she's just like you, can't you see?
She is no different than you
Being in pieces held by glue
Just because you do not see
Does not mean she is carefree
Her depression makes her want to crawl into a hole
Though she hides it behind a smile that she can control
She cries behind closed doors
Her worries and woes are locked in a chest of drawers
You will never see her at night
As sleeping is just another fight
She can't win against the pain
She just wants it all to go away
The tears endlessly fall
Anxiety and depression are in an endless brawl
The false whispers are too much to handle
Her happiness flickers like a candle
Her parents don't understand
Her mental breakdown wasn't planned
The disease is just a trend
Maybe it will be better by the weekend
Do not judge a book by its cover
You do not know what you will discover
She hides the pain and tears
As she has done so for many years
So no
She struggles everyday
Burdens worry her in everyway
She does not have a perfect life
Now her smile does not seem so bright

You are treated just like another person until you mental you have a mental health problem. People will start treating you as if you are glass and will crack at any second. We are normal and just because we have a problem that has name, does not mean that we need to handled carefully.
