Community
Some kids grow up trying to find new places to roam,
Trying to escape the simplicity,
Commonly confusing it with the idea of a lifeless town.
My big dreams only involve small ideas.
Although I cannot wait to grow,
or travel the world beyond.
There's only one place I can truly call home.
The quaint towns filled with locals,
Where everyone is familiar.
Neighborly smiles and polite waves.
In the country store, you find gentlemen discussing golf scores
And local politics over a bagel and tolerable coffee.
The close-knit community creates a more cozy atmosphere.
The air seems to be cleaner,
And the colors are much more vivid.
Seasons come and go,
Smoothly as Robert Frost poems flow.
The children grow up riding bikes,
finding their childhood friends.
A community like this,
Is something only a few really know.
