Memories
These belongings aren’t your typical objects
These items carry memories that take me back to a certain subject
Sometimes you don’t even want to eject
The memory of the grill, that cooked my families meals
Sniffing the meat cooking on the grill
Crisp but slightly burnt flakes breeze through the air
From the charcoal to the soil everything seems fair
On that sunny summer day.
When the food is almost complete
You can sense the grease from the burgers from the heating
Because once we get to eating, the memories start forming.
Once my family is together, nothing else matters.
Memories can’t be measured,
Everyone of these memories should be treasured.
