The Darkness
When the darkness consumes me,
All I can see is your greed.
I try to hide the pain,
But all it does is rain.
You fueled the fire that burned the soul,
And yet the fire is not full.
The light inside me had been graced
And the darkness has replaced.
The fury inside me is doubt,
And the light has come out.
I’ve tied the noose,
But it’s too loose.
Goodbye cruel world,
I will not fold.
