Blue Hazel-Eyes
You flashed that smile at me,
Dimples showing I knew it was true,
“I was all you wanted”.
It was all so real the night it became official.
Your soft arms wrapped around me,
like a repeated ritual,
Like you knew my spiritual ways.
Distance,
Oh the resistance from you,
what do I do?
Maybe it’s time to whisper goodbye,
To those sweet sea colored eyes.
Out of sight,
Out of mind.
Maybe I’m blind,
But I can still see those dazzling blue hazel eyes
Staring back at mine.
